The last couple weeks have been so busy and wonderful.  In total I think I've taken around 30G of photos between a couple weddings and a great trip up north to the Miller lake/Cypress lake area.
It was so fantastic to get outdoors again, and really reminded me about why I love what I'm doing, and how important it is to keep doing the nature shots that are such a huge joy in my life.
I want to thank my handful of watchers so much for all the support and encouragement!  You're the best and I love you all.  Thanks for being honest in where I need to improve and being excited along with me when I catch something excited or show more improvement.

So here is my question... how do you balance photography for work, and photography for enjoyment??  I would love it if I could turn some of my landscape work into something more then a hobby but don't even know where to start!  Any advice would be the best, thanks!

I have had similar questions about work vs. enjoyment.
Not being good at marketing myself, I have not become a "successful" artist, although I have had some small shows and done weddings for friends who recognize my talents.

Someone, either Confucious or Harvey Mackay, I see it attributed to both, once said: "Do something you love and you never work a day in your life,"

Of course that's not really true, because it takes work to become good at anything, but at least you will be enjoying yourself much of the time.

I am finding the market glutted with digital photography, but there is still room for talented photographers. While I was looking up that quote I found this site with some helpful suggestions, all of which I have considered, and am still considering: [link]

Weddings remain the most lucrative thing, and possibly the steadiest work, but I dislike the idea of performing on demand for people I don't know, therefore my main goal lies in Fine Art Gallery shows, and I continue to strive in that direction.

Good luck, and I hope this helps in at least some small way. I think you are very talented, and that comes from someone who doesn't know you and is a trained artist. :)
